There are multiple Ivarone locations but this is the most convenient for me. It's on the smaller side side but offers a lot of variety - from fresh fish to prepared foods, produce, pasta, and more. Staff is helpful. Prices are on the high side but there a large selection. They have a restaurant next door for those who want a sit-down meal.

Walk in for one thing and leave with at least 10 things not on your list. Deli counter has a wait but rightfully so, as it has thousands of options & you'll want most of them. Nice quick spot to make a small market run. Love all the international options. Loves its 10 mins away from home.

This store has everything that I love. Their take out delicious has all my favorites from beef stew to chicken and meat dishes. Their fruits are fresh and come in delicious platters. Marilyn is amazing as the cashier. I always forgo the line and let everyone pass me just to deal with Marilyn. Victoria at the desk is such an amazing and fabulous employee. Helping her customers dealing with their order's or and problems that they may have. Victoria is extremely attentive in helping everyone and makes each and every person feel satisfied and happy with the outcome. Very customer oriented Victoria is a great addition to an already excellent crew.

I love the way I get greeted with grace and love and respect while I select from an assortment of deliciousness and passion for my mouth! Thank goodness for this establishment that brought joy to my life and now being in my four year relationship we shop on a regular day and enjoy cooking together making new discoveries along the way!

Lived here in New Hyde Park for over a decade and recently just discovered this place. I get all my cold cuts and sandwiches from here now. Also their Macaroni Salad is a must try !! Service - Super-fast

I have bought hundreds of cooked food meals from this store over the past 6 years and I have decided that the best way I can contribute to mankind is to rate (from 1 to 10) the prepared food items that I have eaten so that others can benefit from my knowledge. I will be updating this review as I go through life eating more items from Iavarone to make this review as comprehensive as I can. Now I know that taste is one of the most subjective things in humanity but in the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king. I intend to give that one eye to people whose experience at Iavarone is either limited or nil. Here goes: 10s Pulled Pork - High Quality pork with a lot of large chunks mixed in with the shredded pork. A solid BBQ sauce appropriately portioned. A low fat to meat ratio. Sometimes you can get a bad portion with a chunk of fat somewhere but that is pretty rare. 9s Kobe Meat Loaf - I am giving this a 10 even though I don't really love meat loaf but I have to admit they do a great job with it. The sauteed onions that encase the meat loaf on three of the four sides is fantastic. Also, while I was worried that meat loaf can be a crap shoot with cheap stuff like carrots, peppers and bread ubiquitous throughout, this meat loaf has very little besides the beef which is very lean as per its Kobe title. My only small issue is that the meat texture isn't very dense. And notwithstanding the fact that this is made with Kobe beef, this is the most well priced item in the store. Somone with a big appetite can easily get two lunches out of the Iavarone portion. Chicken Scampi - Great quailty white meat chicken. The scampi sauce is thick and nothing like the kind of sauce you get with a shrimp scampi as it has nowhere near the garlic content but it works. Chicken Parmagiana - one of my fav items because it is consistently solid. The only inconsistentcy is that some pieces have a very thick amount of cheese on top. In and of itself, that's fine but it means you're paying more for the cheaper ingredient in the cheese compared to the chicken. The tomato sauce is good. Not the best I've ever had but pretty good and not objectionable in any way. Italian Meat Balls - Very dense, very lean, good house tomato sauce. Whether in a hero or with pasta, they never disappoint Chicken Meat Balls - Same as above but with a lot more cilantro than the beef meat balls above. 8s Cauliflour Oreganatta - The bread crumbs make this food my go to vegetable at Iavarone. The product is well cooked, holds together tightly Veal Parmigiana - It's really on a par with the chicken parm and tastes a bit better but I've downgraded it due to its price which is double the chicken parm. Not the products fault but in terms of bang for the buck, I want to make sure that people don't get mad at me for expecting to be as happy with the purchase as the chicken parm but not being so because their wallet is lighter. 7s Salmon Teriyaki - It's a good piece of fish and sauce in the right proportion. Maybe a little bit more of a grey layer on the bottom than would be ideal and it isn't quite as light as one you'd cook at home but as good as can be expected given that fish doesn't keep quite as well as meat in a refrigerated case but they do as good a job as can be exected. 6s Fillet Mignion Beef Tips - Very delicious in a sweet brown sauce but for $29.99 a lb. it isn't exactly center cut. The quality of the pieces is inconsistent. Some are perfect and delicate but some are a bit tough and some have fat on them. String Beans (Haricort Vert) - Nice french cut string beans. My complaint with them is that they are bland. Sauteed Broccoli - Same thing as most cooked veggies at Iavarone. Good quality but bland. Sauteed Spinach - Once again, good quality but could use some more garlic and oil to give it the kind of flavor you get from an italian restaurant.

I am changing my review because their coffee is excellent! My cousins catered from Iavarones for tht 1 year birthday party. Coffee was included. I can always be wooed by coffee.
